I have decided to give my Amber to my daughter, freeing up the space for something else lol So I thought I would turn this blog into one about my smaller properties. Photots to follow.

Have bought a badly neglected mansion so I have decided that Amber House will become Amber Cottage and be owned by a smallholding family. I have been redecorated some rooms. I have papered one of the attic rooms and the living room but you'll have to wait for the photos. I have also carpeted one of the bedrooms and made curtains for the windows. The pelmets are made from strips of the carpet to tie it all in. The bed is homemade too.

A couple months ago I bought Amber House which is available in kit form from the Doll House Emporium though I actually bought mine at Hobbycraft. It is already painted and decorated but I decided it would look better decorated and furnished in a 1900 style.

The kitchen is coming along nicely, I have a stove and a table which is overflowing with some baking and a cake. Rennie the kitchen maid is having a rest with Freddie, who looks gorgeous in his wee blue coat.

I have repapered one of the downstair rooms which will be the family dining room. I have already put a fireplace in, and it looks very nice with its coal bucket and companion set.
